Artist Bio
Louise Steenpoorte is a conceptual artist exploring the relationship between nature, human nature, and technology. Her work plays between utopian futures, where technology enhances life, and dystopian consequences, where innovation leads to unforeseen destruction, balancing on a delicate equilibrium.
Using pseudo-scientific strategies, she experiments with sculptural elements and photographic documentation to investigate posthuman integration and its strains with technology. Her deep interest in how technology shapes both nature and humanity informs her exploration of advancement, disruption, and sustainability.
